In summer 1999 turgut kocer found the drone ambient project „wardrobe memories“ back then in aix la chapelle, germany. just with a simple plain old personal computer he started to program his ideas about dreamy droning ambient, not knowing that he will soon finish the debut album. back then the first self-titled wardrobe memories album (also sometimes called „1999“ in some circles) was released on CD-R with a do-it-yourself plush artwork - the first catalog number on the small underground label „schneetreiben“. with just a limitation of 20 copies this handmade item was quickly sold out. in the same year wardrobe memories released its second album „grand canyon tracks“ - again on label schneetreiben with the same strict limitation. these first two albums already shaped an ambient sound far away from earth, like a distant transmission from another solar system. the master tapes came to surface this year again - and it was an obvious step to make both albums available again. all the found material was left to its own devices - neither re-mastered nor pimped. this double cassette documents the first wardrobe memories years. Comes with button-object, postcard and yellow shell coloration. Limited to 50 copies.
